Plastic Free July has started today! Some of you may or may not have heard about Plastic Free July before. Plastic Free July is a global movement engaging people to refuse any single use plastic during the month of July and beyond!

It may sound difficult or overwhelming, but it is actually a simpler change in your lifestyle for a better outcome between yourself and the environment. Every change does matter. Big or small. The key importance to having a successful plastic free July is consistency!

Here are some helpful tips to help you start plastic free July this year.

1. Swap your plastic kitchen brush to a coconut based kitchen brush

Our kitchens are a hotspot for waste and environmental harm, but as more and more of us are embracing a greener lifestyle, there are many ways we can all make changes and introduce eco-friendly alternatives into our lives.

Our Bamboo Kitchen Brush is completely plastic free and made from a bamboo handle with sisal bristles. They are biodegradable and highly durable. They are also naturally antibacterial, non-scratch and are the most sustainable alternative to plastic brushes. Whether it be washing dishes, scrubbing pots and pans, or cleaning surfaces, there’s a sustainable brush alternative for that! Replacement heads are available, simply switch out as needed.

2. Refuse plastic dental products

There are a number of sustainable, natural dental flosses on the market – free of plastics and are biodegradable. Our Dental Floss is made from cornstarch-based resin, coated with Candelilla wax and flavoured with Spearmint oil. It comes in a natural bamboo case featuring a twist cap to ensure safety, a metal cap dispenser and can be reused with floss refills. Packed in a fully compostable and recyclable cardboard box.
